Our Next Program
Sources and Resources for German-Jewish
Family History, Jeanette R. Rosenberg OBE
Sunday, 14 September 2025, 10:30 a.m.
Pacific Time, Zoom, free
This talk explores the information you can find online and where to find it. Jeanette will direct you to key resources to help you find and access records for your German-Jewish family history research. She will cover the different types of records you can expect to locate and how to request copies from German archives, if you need something that isn’t yet available online. She will also explain what record sets are free to access and which are the best paid resources for your German Jewish genealogy. You will discover how to make the most out of using these records.
Jeanette R. Rosenberg OBE is a
professional genealogist and member of the UK Association
of Genealogists and Researchers in Archives.
She holds a Postgraduate Diploma in
Genealogical Studies from Strathclyde
University. Jeanette leads for the Jewish
Genealogical Society of Great Britain (JGSGB)
on education/mentoring, exhibitions, outreach, and
social media and chairs JGSGB’s German SIG. A
JewishGen GerSIG Director from 2009–2019, Jeanette
previously led on GerSIG’s IAJGS conference
arrangements. She is the genealogy representative on the
ITS Oversight Committee, strategically managing
Britain’s copy of the ITS Arolsen Archive.
Registering for this program will place you on the JGSO mailing list, and you will receive our newsletters. Each newsletter has instructions on how to unsubscribe.
All our programs feature closed captioning.
Program details and registration links for 2025 are on our Events page.
